Grading Scale REPORT CARDS
Students in Kindergarten - Grade 8 receive report cards at the end of each quarter. Grades are not merely a summation of test scores, but also reflect the student's attitude, daily work, homework, participation, test scores and effort.
Grades 1 and 2:
E = Excellent; Student produces work of a high quality, beyond the expectations of average performance.
G = Good; Student produces work of good quality, meeting all performance expectations.
S = Satisfactory; Student produces work of satisfactory quality, meeting most performance expectations.
I = Improving; Student is making progress towards meeting expectations of average performance, in the process of learning necessary skills and behaviors, but is not yet working at the level of grade expectations.
N = Needs Improvement; Student is not developing skills in a timely fashion; improvement is expected.
N/A = Not Applicable; Item does not apply this quarter.
Conduct Scale (for all grade levels):
E = Excellent
S = Satisfactory
N = Needs Improvement
Non-Core Grading Scale [Spanish (1-5), Art and Music (1-8), PE (1-8), Computer (1-7)]:
E = Excellent; Performs beyond expectations
S = Satisfactory; Performs according to expectations
N = Needs Improvement; Performs below expectations
Grades 3-8 (GPAs are calculated only for grades 6 through 8):
100-98 = A+ = 4.00
97-93 = A = 4.00
92-90 = A- = 3.67
89-88 = B+ = 3.33
87-83 = B = 3.00
82-80 = B- = 2.67
79-78 = C+ = 2.33
77-73 = C = 2.00
72-70 = C- = 1.67
69-65 = D = 1.00
64-0 = F = 0.00
